Flex trim paint or stain grade?

Paint grade is usually finger jointed together (short pieces of wood fingered on each end, fitted together, and glued) and stain grade is a ';clear'; piece of wood, meaning that the trim in a continuous length of wood, cut from the length of the tree, not glued together. Finger joint is good trim, usually cheaper in price, but needs painting to hide the joints. Stain grade can be painted or stained, but why waste a nice, clear piece of wood by painting over it. Hope this helps
