What's a safe way to remove paint marks from stained wood without removing the stain as well?

I was painting a mirror with two frames, a half inch frame on the inside of a larger 6 inch frame. While painting the smaller frame, some paint got on the stained wood larger frame.What's a safe way to remove paint marks from stained wood without removing the stain as well?

What type of paint is it?? If it is laytex you should be able to just kind scratch it off. Otherwise a little bit of pait thinner on a rag should work. Just be careful not to go thru the stain too
I agree if it is latex paint then GoofOff or Oophs will do very well.
try a magic eraser first....then you can cut some paint thinner with water and lightly dab the unintentional paint
