I have a medium oak cabinet that I want to stain/paint espresso. Any suggestions on how to do this..paint sta

There are several products that will allow you to do this in a couple coats. I have used the Gel (by miniwax I believe) and I stained an entire armoire. Came out great but it takes many more coats than you would think to go from the lighter color to the darker color. Almost all of my furniture is that nearly black espresso color and I would guess that it took me at least four coats.

Couple tips -

1. If there is an area inside that you can test on, do so

2. It will look funky after the first coat...and gradually, after each coat, it will start to look more uniformI have a medium oak cabinet that I want to stain/paint espresso. Any suggestions on how to do this..paint sta
Unless you can do a faux wood finish(you can buy a tool to make the woodgrain effect). i would stick to an ordinary paint job first scuff up the surface with a little sandpaper then apply primer, next paint it with a paint color that resembles the color you want to achieve. It is best to stay away from to glossy of a finish, satin is probably best.Good luck
